A Certified Nurse Practitioner Dedicated to Skin Health for Michigan’s Upper Peninsula
Samantha Conklin, NP-C, is an experienced nurse practitioner with over 15 years of caring for patients across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and joined Lilly Dermatology in 2022. Her path to dermatology evolved through both clinical experience and personal perspective—after being diagnosed with melanoma, her interest in skin health, cancer prevention, and early detection deepened, ultimately guiding her to specialize in dermatology. This experience allows her to connect with patients on a more meaningful level and reinforces her commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Before specializing in dermatology, Samantha worked as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit and later as a Nurse Practitioner in Cardiology, building a strong foundation in complex medical care.
She is known for her approachable style, attention to detail, and commitment to helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their care.
Education and Credentials
Samantha earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Northern Michigan University. She is nationally certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Medical Dermatology
With a strong focus on patient education, Samantha is passionate about the prevention, detection, and early treatment of skin cancer. She performs comprehensive skin cancer screening exams and also evaluates and treats a wide variety of dermatologic conditions for adults and children, including acne, rosacea, hair and nail disorders, skin infections, warts, psoriasis, eczema and in-office procedures including cryotherapy and lesion removal.
Cosmetic Dermatology
With a personalized approach to cosmetic dermatology, Samantha helps patients choose treatments that support natural-looking, confidence-building results. Her cosmetic services include microneedling, neuromodulators including Botox® and Dysport®, chemical peels, IPL and laser treatments for sun damage, redness and vascular lesions.
Life Beyond the Practice
Outside of work, Samantha enjoys a full and family-centered life. She loves spending time with her husband and sons, especially cheering on her sons at their sporting events, and values the everyday moments they share together. She also enjoys staying active, along with reading and spending time outdoors walking their three dogs.
Living in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Samantha feels grateful for the natural beauty of the area and the close-knit community she calls home. Her personal values, including her faith, influence the kind, compassionate care she strives to provide to every patient.
